Panasonic announced it is the first to make a pocket-sized digital camcorder that can record DVD-quality video onto a removable flash memory card. The gadget, called the SV-AV100, Other digital camcorders may rival the gadget in size or recording quality, but none has yet achieved both feats. The camcorder is about the size of a bulky wallet.It includes a 512-megabyte SD memory card, which can store up to 20 minutes of DVD-quality video, or 3.5 hours of standard MPEG4 video, a format designed for Internet or e-mail use. Memory cards with more capacity are available separately.
